Ben Lai is a designer, innovator, play advocate, and illustrator working across the toy, entertainment, and publishing industries.

Currently at The LEGO Group’s Creative Play Lab, he helps shape the future of play through imaginative design, cross-functional prototyping, and kid-centred innovation.

With a background spanning games, product design, education, and

visual storytelling, Ben brings a multidisciplinary approach to creative problem-solving — often using design, art, and play as tools to engage, inspire, and connect.

He is also passionate about picture books, design education, and collaborative projects that blend disciplines and perspectives.
